Congratulations to Brett Maniscalco for being our December 2019 Artist of the Month!

The shores of Lake Michigan provide a beautiful backdrop to be enjoyed year-round, and have been the source of inspiration for many artists. From the Tahquamenon Falls of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to the bustling streets of Chicago, one does not have to look far to be inspired by the beauty in and around this great lake. But what makes Maniscalcos' work stand out is not only the dynamic motion and dramatic lighting seen throughout his work, but his willingness to push the limits to perfect his craft. Where most artists will focus on capturing the beauty of a sunset, Maniscalco can also find beauty in the darkness after the sun has disappeared and the colors have faded, to reveal a world that most can only dream of. Looking past the obvious, it is in the afterthoughts and small details overlooked by others that he draws inspiration.

Sharing sunsets, waterfalls, sand dunes and cityscapes with the world, Maniscalco has perfected the art of capturing and sharing special places.
