SOUTH BEND, Indiana (August 25, 2025) – The Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley will showcase
the work of Indiana based artist Craig Kilgore with a photo exhibition in South Bend.
This exhibition showcases new works centered around a recent twenty-eight-day open road journey
following the path of the former U.S. Route 66, starting in Chicago through to Los Angeles, then back
again. The extensive series continues Craig Kilgore's twenty-five-year history of exploring vernacular
landscapes with particular focus on urban streetscapes and signage. This exhibit focuses on connecting
and contrasting contemporary American life along this decommissioned highway with the
symbolism and folklore many still hold as their view of “The Mother Road.”
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Sunday, September 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the
Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley, located at 3202 Shalom Way in South Bend, Indiana, with a
gallery talk from the artist followed by a reception. The exhibition will continue through Friday,
December 19th, open between 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. For more information,
