Third Person By David Dodd Lee

Third Person: Dictionary Sonnets, Original Poems, and Ashbery erasure Poems, is now available from BlazeVox Books.

Much of the word in Third Person features found language that is arranged in order to make some sort of relevant meaning for our moment in history, while also seizing the opportunity to be playful, outrageous, and absurd (but inevitable seeming).

The book is comprised of 26 dictionary sonnets (poems constructed using language found on single pages in a dictionary), 20 Ashbery erasure poems (erasure poems using John Ashbery poems as source texts) and 30 original poems that are constructed using juxtaposition and fragments that somehow use leaps of association to tell odd stories, poems that I learned to write by making collage poems, in other words.

Third Person is available from the publisher at blazevox.org, Third Person David Dodd Lee and is also available at Amazon.
