On April 18th, PAN-O-PLY Story & Art Michiana invites you to explore the idea of a future Poetry Festival in the greater Michiana area.

Brainstorm & Connect

The first part of the day will be from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

10- 10:30: meet-and-greet with light refreshments.

10:30 – 11:00 a presentation of the A Poetry Festival

11:00 – 1:00 (more or less) group discussion and brainstorming for a Poetry Festival

Special Guest and Open Mic

The second part of the day is a Poetry Month Event.

3:00 – 3:15 Meet and greet

3:15 – 3:30, an interview-style discussion with the Special Guest, Pam Blair. Pam Blair is the founder of the Poetry Den. She is a regionally celebrated poet.

3:30 – 4:00 Special Guest Reading

4:00 – 6:00 Open mic.

At PAN—O-PLY, we are consistently amazed by the level of writing talent in the Michiana area. We hope to bring together poets from around Michiana who are like-minded and motivated to establish a Poetry Festival. We imagine a Poetry Festival including class-style sessions, open mics, a poetry slam, meet-and-greets, and a night or afternoon of fun. We hope the festival will eventually draw people from the region to celebrate the spoken word.

We believe you must start somewhere. April 18th will be that first step.
